World Smallest Frog Discovered in Borneo

Microhyla nepenthicola, a frog which is about the size of a pea, has been discovered on the South-East Asian island of Borneo.

The size of this micro frog can range from from 10.6 and 12.8 millimetres in size.

The tiny frogs were found on the edge of a road leading to the summit of the Gunung Serapi mountain in the Kubah National Park in the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Conservation of Nature's Amphibian Specialist Group is rediscovering 100 species of lost amphibians as a part of a global search being undertaken by Conservation International and International Union.
